My name is Elaine. These days I identify myself most as a mom. Mother of two little girls, and married to a wonderfully generous husband, I spend most of my days trying to meet their needs, remember who I am, and try to follow God.
I am a linguist by training, and I love language, hence the title of this blog. Over the years I have discovered a love for exercise, which I found through triathlon training, though these days I'm lucky to get a jog in once a week. I also love baking, cooking, and eating!
This blog has morphed over the years. It started as a way for me to write about both random thoughts and to keep in touch with friends and family who live far away. Our family now has a separate blog for family pictures and the like. So Nisamina has returned to more of its original purpose, a place for me to write out some of the thoughts in rattling around in my brain that I hope to remember.

ReplyDeleteHope hurts. It's sitting back and letting life roll over you and you don't get any say in what happens.
