See not the small trials and vexations of each hour of the day. See the one purpose and plan to which all are leading. If in climbing a mountain you keep your eyes on each stony or difficult place, as you ascend, seeing only that, how weary and profitless your climb!
But if you think of each step as leading to the summit of achievement, from which glories and beauties will be open out before you, then your climb will be so different.
- Today's entry from God Calling - Edited by AJ Russell
As I restarted my blog, one of the things I wanted to address was how to follow Jesus in my new season of life. This has proved to be far more difficult than I would have imagined. The little things in life have some how seeped back into the center of myself, rather than allowing God to reside there. The book from which this passage is quoted has brought me a deep sense of God's presence in the past, and I'm reopening it now to read the seeds of God's voice from it's pages. Today's passage really resonated with me.
i haven't figured it out.
