Weddings & Babies...Again?

Hmm...Didn't I just have a post about this? Looks like there's a theme going on here. Another weekend mixed with weddings and babies. I guess they go together in the end eh? Actually this weekend was a wedding, a baby shower, and a triathlon. The latter will be blogged about after I get some sleep. But for now wedding!

Two dear friends from church got married this weekend. S is Indian and I is Indonesian. They make a beautiful couple...and they had a beautiful wedding. Here are some of the highlights.

The happy couple making the rounds during the reception...Friends!The Tuscon table...yes yes, we were the coolest table there...The next day, after the tri, my friend D and I and K's sister threw K a baby shower. It was great fun. The planning was so much fun for me! It sure was hard not telling K too much about it. I wanted to tell her all about the fun things we were planning for her.

I (yes the I who just got married) is a designer and designed the coolest invites for K's shower. Each guest had a different object on a card on the invite that they were to decorate to hang in the nursery. They turned out so cute! D organized some really cool games! Here is a wonderful shot of K playing 'Dirty Diapers' in which there are melted chocolate bars in diapers and you have to smell them and guess the kind of candy. It was hilarious! And, last, but not least, here is the most awesome pic of the bow made of pacifiers on K's present. D put it together! We felt so creative!Ok, stay tuned for the tri report...

  1. I so wish I could have been at the shower -- Karen living really close and all. Alas, the spirit is willing but this flesh is exhausted. Kudos to mighty women who can do a tri and then a baby shower.

  3. Thank you so much, Elaine, and to everyone! It was soooo much fun, I was truly spoiled! I can't believe you had the energy after the tri...I totally understand those who needed to sleep! Man, that picture of me is scary--I look like I'm really enjoying that game too much. Which I did. Made me want some chocolate.

  4. We were by far the coolest table there! I should have thought to have you burn me the wedding pics too, duh.
Well, I'll steal these. But I really want the one of pregnant M with a bottle of wine in each hand!
