Wedding #1 = Laura & Jeff. Yay for Laura & Jeff. These are two dear friends from college. Laura is a Pi Phi so I got to spend lots of time with my favorite sorority sisters. I was in this wedding so I got to do all the pre wedding stuff. Lots of fun. We had the rehearsal and dinner on Thurs. In wonderful Laura & Jeff style we had dinner at Flying Pie Pizza in Portland. It was yummy.
Friday night was the bachelorette BBQ. We had hot dogs in honor of Laura...It's her favorite food and she's not afraid to admit it :) She also loves margaritas, so we had some wonderful blended margaritas. It was perfect for the 108 degree weather we had that day! Nice and icy. Here we are, me and Laura, and her with her awesome bride-sized margarita glass. (Don't worry, we never filled it all the way up).
The next day, I met up with the girls to get our hair done. I wanted to cover my weird swim suit/tri suit tan lines, so I did a half up/half down do. It turned out quite nice. :) Except in the heat I would have given anything to have my hair off my neck. But oh well. Here's the evidence of our awesome hair before the heat came.
And the back of course (and yes, the butts is my idea...If you're going to take a picture of the back you might as well make it interesting)
After hair, we got make up done. Here we are...Aren't we gorgeous :) They put this stuff on my lips and they started to burn and taste like cinnamon. The woman told me it was lip plumper. It kinda freaked me out. It didn't stop burning for a while...I was a little worried they would plump out of control, but it was fine obviously ;).
Then the other Pi Phis showed up. Here are my dear friends Annie, Laura, Sarah & Liz.
And here are our toes (beautifully decorated from pedicures the day before). You know...I just love being girly before weddings. I don't get to do it often enough. I suppose it is expensive and petty, but you know what? It sure is fun!
Finally here we all are before the wedding. The guy on the end is Laura's 'Man of Honor'. He's been her best friend for years. We were all saying how great the title 'Man of Honor' sounds. Much better than 'Maid/Matron of Honor'...I think if I get married I'll have a 'Woman of Honor'. It's much more distinguished :)
There are more pics from the wedding, but then we just get sweaty pictures. Hahahaha. I don't think anyone wants to see those. It was a very fun wedding though. It was a beautiful house in the country with yummy food, and good friends. I love my friends :)
You look so lovely! We all need a little pampering, although I think I'll skip the lip plumper. :/
ReplyDeleteHmmm.... "Servant Boy of Honor"? What is equivalent to "Maid"? You're right, "Woman of Honor" is a cool title. Mental note.
ReplyDeleteAs for the rear shot... you are naughty! ;)
Hehehe. Everyone needs a little goosing every now and then. :)
ReplyDeleteYour hair looked beautiful! Good choice.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to say you looked "cool", except you weren't -- cool I mean. Actually, I'm with Lizzie, you look gorgeous! It's so nice of you to symphatize with our lousy weather. Have fun, in spite of the heat.
ReplyDeleteYou're beautiful!
