Last week, I my friend Annie, who just moved to beautiful Sun Valley, ID wrote me an email and asked me how the fall is. I didn't respond right away because the question took me by surprise. Then I realized why. So this is what I wrote her.
"The fall huh? What fall? California doesn't have 4 seasons. It has winter and summer. Winter is a bit colder than Oregon's fall, but much more dry. The seasons formerly known as fall and spring are some manic stage of being in between winter or summer. One day its warm and sunny, the next day cold and dry. That's about it. If you're lucky and you happen to see a tree that is not always green or brown, it is quite nice...and then suddenly you are reminded that it is almost Thanksgiving. There is one fiery red tree on the walk I do at lunch, but other than that you are wondering why sometimes you need to wear long sleeves.
So how is fall? Well today its partially cloudy. Yesterday it was sunny and I went on a bike ride...who knows what tomorrow will bring. ;)"
But that's why we like it here right?

Fall is pretty nice, as long as we get a little drizzle every once in a while. :-)
